RUN TO HONOR
How a Mini-Documentary Sold Out a Race in Two Days
When FreshJunkie Racing approached us about filming a video for the 10-year anniversary of the Publix Battleship 12K, we had just 5 weeks to concept, shoot, edit, and deliver a compelling mini-documentary. With the clock ticking, we leaned in hard and delivered on time.
Not only did we film the interviews, find historic footage, add in race footage from 10 years ago until now and piece it all together to make one cohesive and emotional story. We also made a few versions of a teaser so that we can peak peoples interest in it before it went live.
-
The impact was immediate. At the time of the film’s release, only about 200 registration spots remained for the event. Within just two days of the video going live, every single remaining slot was completely filled, officially selling out the anniversary race.
-
The film centers on the powerful, deep-rooted purpose behind the event. We focused on capturing the emotional weight of the weekend, highlighting runners honoring fallen loved ones, veterans paying tribute, and a community deeply united in a shared purpose.
-
To capture both the high energy and the emotional depth of the race, we combined dynamic, high-action race footage with polished, cinematic visuals. By focusing heavily on the actual people behind the event, we were able to weave these elements into a cohesive, narrative-driven film.
-
The feedback poured in immediately from all sides. Participants, race organizers, and casual viewers alike highly praised the authenticity and emotional resonance of our coverage.
-
For us, a project is successful when the film genuinely works. Run to Honor didn't just look great—it successfully amplified the event's energy, drove immediate registration results, and gave a deeper meaning to every runner involved. To our team, that real-world impact is the ultimate proof of a well-told story.
